Designing the Cortex H1 posed a key challenge: crafting a slender, ergonomic, and intuitive handset capable of housing layers of technology while maintaining an IPX8 waterproof rating. We enhanced the ergonomics of the rectangular form with indentations, datum edges, and a sculpted rear body to be cupped in the palm. Crucially, users needed quick and effective single-handed access to all functions, especially for harsh marine conditions while wearing gloves.
